JONNY Campbell is firmly looking forward to getting stuck in following his arrival at Cougar Park.

Campbell, a winger, joined the Cougars on a month's loan from the Bulls on Wednesday after finding opportunities hard to come by at Odsal following his move from Batley in the off-season.

During his time at Odsal so far, Campbell has only made three appearances, scoring his only try a fortnight ago in the Bulls' victory away to Oldham Roughyeds.

The 29-year old joins Keighley at a crucial time in the season and has eyes set on a place in Paul March's team. He will be looking to make his home debut tomorrow afternoon as Barrow Raiders visit Cougar Park.

The Cougars will be looking to bounce back from the heavy defeat they suffered last Saturday at the hands of leaders Toulouse Olympique.

Campbell said: "I'm excited to be getting some game time under my belt as I haven't had much this season, so I can't wait to rip in over at Keighley.

"I played a game against Dewsbury at the back end of last year and somebody has come in to tackle me and I snapped my leg, so I had to have an operation.

"Since the operation, I've had just niggly little injuries since then, but I played well for Bradford at Oldham.

"There's a lot of quality wingers at Odsal and Rohan Smith (Bulls coach) couldn't promise me much game time – and game time is what I want, so I'm looking forward to getting started at Keighley.

"I'm definitely looking forward to challenging the wingers at Cougars. I've played with Vinny Finigan at Batley and I've played against Paul White when he was at Halifax, so I know they're good players and it'll bring the best out of everyone.

"Nobody likes visiting Cougar Park as an away player. so I'll have to see if playing there for Keighley makes any difference. I've been on the other side of the fence as a visitor many a time, so being a home player might make all the difference if I'm picked.

"I've come in on the back of that result in Toulouse and it can go either way as a player. It could dent your confidence – but I know Paul March and he'll be getting into the lads because it's in his character to not take a score like that lightly."
