Cougars have paid their respects to former Keighley player Rod Raines, who sadly passed away recently at the age of 92.
He signed for Keighley from Wigan in 1952, and over the following four years, he made 126 appearances playing either prop or loose forward.
After his time at Keighley, he returned to his home town of Leigh where he was a founder member of Leigh Miners Rangers and maintained his passion for rugby league right to the end.
Cougars have passed on their condolences to Rod’s family held a minute’s applause in his honour before their previous game against Sheffield Eagles.
