SPORTING Keighley are finding life in the Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven League Premier Division to their liking.

Promoted last season as Division One runners-up, they sit second in the fledgling top flight with maximum points from two games.

They began with a midweek 4-2 triumph at Wilsden Athletic, courtesy of goals from Mohammed Ammer and joint men of the match Shazad Khan (2) and Shahid Taj.

Sporting, inspired by Khan, followed that up with a 2-1 home victory over Trawden Celtic at the weekend, with Danyail Ahmed and Taj on target.

The Keighley club aren't top, however, as they are behind Silsden Whitestar on goal difference.

Whitestar opened up with a 5-1 home triumph over Skipton LMS, man of the match James Wilson (3) and Sam Stanfield (2) being their marksmen, and they then won 4-0 at Cross Hills, with another Stanfield brace being added to by Wilson and Zac Conway.

Cross Hills also fell 3-2 at home to Grassington United, goals from man of the match Rob Matthews and Scott Newton not quite being enough.

Wilsden Athletic are bottom though as they also went down 5-1 at Rolls, Josh Atkinson getting the consolation.

In Division One, Oxenhope Rec drew their midweek derby 1-1 at home to Broomhill, man of the match Chris Galdes and Andy Tanner being on target respectively, while Broomhill lost 3-2 at home to Rolls Reserves, goals coming from Matthew Kershaw and substitute Aaron Dickson.

Cowling fell 1-0 to visitors Rolls Reserves but Bradley are propping up the section after an 8-0 hammering at home to leaders Carleton.

Cononley Sports got off the mark in Division Two with a 4-1 scoreline over visitors Cross Hills Reserves, Chris Lumsden bagging a hat-trick to add to Miroslaw Allen's single, Liam Mulloy replying for the second string, who are bottom after a 5-0 defeat at Skipton Town Reserves.
