RUNS were at a premium in Division Three of the Mewies Solicitors Craven League.

Leaders Long Lee dismissed Skipton CI for just 41, with opener Martin Chisnall the only player into double figures with 12 as Shahbaz Ahmed (6-18), Matt Taylor (2-9) and Stephen Butterfield (2-13) had them back in the pavilion in 26.1 overs.

Long Lee didn't find it easy either but Matt Stowell (27no) was the key man as they won by five wickets in just 13 overs.

Bradford & Bingley's Rick Foulder bagged four stumpings, three of them off James Dobson, but still ended up on the losing side.

Second-placed Cononley made 191-8, boosted by No 8 Charles Calvert's 46 after contributions from Joel Grainger (35) and Tom Feather (26) as Dobson returned 5-21.

Bradford & Bingley made a decent start via Tim Carrow (27) but ended up 73 short on 118 as Anthony Haigh had a match-winning analysis of 7-36.

Much closer was the clash between Riddlesden II and Crossflatts II at Grange Road, with the hosts making 129, Steve Kernan scoring 31 and Imran Kamal 28 as Mick Addy took 3-14 and Charlotte Boulton 3-32.

Jonny Gath (39) needed more support in the reply as Crossflatts II were dismissed for 107, Akeel Rashid returning 4-34 and John Pinkerton 3-14.

Bowlers were also on top at Greenwood Park, where Jimmy Dennison (4-40) and Josh Zenner (4-44) helped to restrict hosts Sandy Lane II to 170, Bingley Congs II replying with 129 as Shahbaz Ahmed took 4-15 and Irfan Ul Haq 4-38.

In many ways, however, Eldwick & Gilstead's Michael Brodigan gave the performance of the day, carrying his bat for 56 in their 99 after Gargrave II had made 131 (Matt Rogers 3-22, James Keighley 3-32).

In Division Four, Chatburn were no match for leaders Sandy Lane, for whom wicket-keeper Zeeshan Aslam made 41 out of 156.

'Mr Extras' was the Ribble Valley side's top scorer with 17 as they were castled for 63, Muhammad Ulfat taking 3-5 and Naveed Ul Hassan 3-9.
