Wharfedale Triangle Division One: Myrtle Park 0 Cullingworth Youth 9

CULLINGWORTH maintained their six-point lead at the top with an emphatic victory, despite playing the first half with ten men.

It was a contrast to the 17 players available the week before but bottom side Myrtle Park were still put to the sword as Youth went in 4-0 up at the interval.

The pitch soon cut up badly but Cullingworth still played good football, taking the lead in the tenth minute when a long pass from Kyle Fox found Chris Mawson just outside the box and he calmly slotted home.

Despite missing numerous chances, Youth added three more before the break and did not let up in the second half, adding four more, with Park also putting through their own net.

While it seemed unfair to single out one player for man of the match, the obvious candidate was Mawson, who helped himself to five goals, while Sam Fox (2) and Kyle Fox also notched.

Youth are at Cookridge Hall this Sunday, while Keighley Town – whose match at home to Horsforth St Margaret's was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch last week – travel to Horsforth this week.
