CONONLEY Sports Reserves, who are still without a win in Division One, looked on course for only their second Mastab's Craven League point of the season at the weekend.

The score was 1-1 at mid-table Bingley Town, only for the hosts to get the winner with five minutes left.

Bingley paid a penalty for not being ruthless when Craig Ebbrell gave Cononley the lead.

But, even though they again had the edge in the second half, it needed three substitutions to make a difference to Bingley in the second half, their man of the match Michael Judson scoring from the spot after skipper Chris Fernyhough had been bundled to the floor.

The home side dominated for the last 20 minutes, and Kyle Richmond sweetly half-volleyed the winner.

Bradley lost 3-0 at Chatburn the previous week but fared even worse at home against the same opponents, going down 7-0 in a fourth straight defeat to remain just above the relegation places in tenth.

FC Polonia remain in second place in Division Two, despite being beaten 3-1 at home by third-placed Grindleton Reserves to end a six-match unbeaten run.

Damien Swies scored on the half-hour to make it 1-1 for Polonia at half-time but, despite Macilj Gawrydi's best efforts, they conceded two more in the second half.

Ingrow & Worth Valley Reserves not only had to contend with the fog at Trawden Celtic Reserves in Division Three but also some first-teamers after a senior abandonment.

Long-ball tactics proved successful for the home side, who led 1-0 at half-time, and they were 3-0 adrift before Grahm Whitaker netted a consolation. Matcha Joseph Nkome was man of the match for the Steampigs.

Tom Pilling and man of the match Andrew Hardeman were on target for Bradley Reserves in a creditable 3-2 defeat at second-placed Pendle Renegades Reserves, while Jimmy Anson got the gong for Cross Hills Reserves in their 4-2 setback at leaders Carleton.

* James Longbottom, Jordan Woolsey and James Halliday were on target for Craven League Premier Division side Wilsden as they saw off plucky underdog visitors Sutton 3-1 in a quarter-final of the Keighley & District FA Challenge Cup.

They join Steeton and Oxenhope Rec in the semi-finals, while Silsden Whitestar's home match against Cowling was postponed.
