IT was awards galore for Silsden AFC as the club’s squads celebrated their respective seasons.

The Cobbydalers’ men’s, women’s and West Yorkshire League (WYL) sides were handed prizes as the club looked back on a successful campaign.

The men’s first-team handed out a host of accolades. These included Ellis Hudson being named as the manager’s player of the season.

 

Luke Brooksbank was handed the club’s top goalscorer accolade.

The John McNulty Memorial Trophy went to Jacob Smith.

In the women’s squad, Maisie Cope was named as the most improved player. The manager’s player of the season was Lily Chattoe.

 

The away manager’s player of the season was named as Poppy Best.

There were joint winners of the player’s player of the season with Georgia Greenwood and Katie Elliot claiming that crown.

Silsden's women's side finished in third place in the West Riding Counties Women's Football League First Division. They notched up 37 points from their 17 league games during then campaign.

Silsden’s firing young guns were also honoured at the awards night, which was held last week.

 

The WYL manager’s player of the season was Chadeem Josiah, while Matty Keen was named as the player’s player of the Season. Goal of the Season was handed to Joe Snowden for his strike in the cup final.

Silsden’s WYL side capped off a great season with a fine 5-0 win over Gomersal & Cleckheaton at Fleet Lane last month to secure the West Yorkshire League Cup.

Silsden’s men’s first team finished 11th in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division after an impressive 5-0 final day victory over Goole AFC in April.
