FOUR slimmers who between them have shed over 17 stones have been rewarded for their efforts.

Christine Moffett and Nicola Dyson – who attend Slimming World sessions at Holden Hall, Oakworth – and Tracey Lonsdale and Muriel Clark, members of the organisation's Haworth Baptist Centre group, have been named Women of the Year.

Andrea Astin, who runs both groups, said: "I'm so proud of all my members and in particular these four lovely ladies.

"Not only do they look fabulous, their health has improved and they are bursting with energy.

"They are all a huge inspiration to everyone in our groups and I hope they inspire other women – and men – in Keighley to change their lives in the same way.

"It can be hard to admit that you need to do something about your weight and to ask for help, but these wonderful members show just what's possible when you do.

"And they will always tell other members that if they can do it, anyone can."

The Slimming World Woman of the Year competition recognises the achievements of women who have made long-term, healthy lifestyle changes.
