STORYTELLING, roasted marshmallows and friendship were the high points of a gathering in Park Wood.
The Friends of Park Wood hosted the informal afternoon in part of the country park above Parkwood in Keighley.
Among those enjoying the festivities were representatives of Keighley environmental campaign group BANDAG.
BANDAG spokesman Barbara Archer said the enhancement of the woods since the Friends began to care for it was acknowledged by her group and the people attending.
She said: “Since the area has been managed by Friends of Park Wood it looks and feels loved. BANDAG appreciates all that the Friends of Park Wood do for our wood and our town.
“Park Wood woodland was gifted to the people of Keighley by the Duke of Devonshire in 1926 for recreation.
“It is the jewel in Keighley's 'ring of green' and can be seen from all parts of Keighley. Parkwood's woodland continues to enhance the uphill views.
“It is written in the covenant that this wood should be conserved and preserved in perpetuity for future generations!”
