THE TEAM running Glusburn Institute hope to recruit more members at their annual general meeting.

The building, full name Glusburn Community and Arts Centre, is run by a small group of dedicated volunteers, but more are welcome.

The committee believe they can find volunteering opportunities to match people’s skills and interests. There are also seeking directors to help with the running of the building.

The annual meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 7 in the Institute’s meeting room at 7.30pm, and is open to all residents of Glusburn and Cross Hills.

Regular activities that the Institute include dance, fitness, film, and new classes will start in September, including singing, family history and flower arranging. The building also hosts the annual Fall Fest.

Anyone interested in volunteering should call 01535 630223 or e-mail kendal@gicac.org.uk. Visit gicac.org.uk for further information or visit Glusburn Institute’s Facebook page.
