A CHURCH has celebrated two decades at its current site.
Keighley New Church staged a special service and lunch on Sunday (Aug 14) to mark the milestone.
The Rev Christine Bank led the sacramental service, which included a talk by Kathryn Brooks, who was secretary of the church council when the decision was made to relocate from Devonshire Street.
She outlined how the new Braithwaite Village buildings were bought and extensively refurbished.
The church was dedicated for worship in 1996, with a service led by the Rev Christopher Jackson.
Church council member Phillip Brooks said: "Keighley New Church was founded in 1789 and has occupied four different sites – Damside, King Street, Devonshire Street and Braithwaite Village.
"Each move was made to continue serving the needs of the local communities."
