MORE school students have successfully completed a learning programme run by Keighley social housing group Incommunities.

Since 2013, 28 young people have now graduated from the Junior GEM scheme.

The year-long programme combines classroom-based learning with work experience provided by Incommunities.

As part of the initiative, participants study for a Level 3 qualification with the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH).

Incommunities group chief executive, Geraldine Howley, said: "I would like to congratulate all our Junior GEM students on successfully completing the programme.

"Accreditation through the CIH has really added value to the scheme and hopefully this is the start of an exciting career journey for these talented young people."

Junior GEM is an extension of an award-winning learning programme for graduates.

Both are run by the housing group's Centre for Partnership.

Centre director, Trevor Smith, said: "All the feedback shows it's been a great experience for the latest students who have completed the programme.

"Hopefully their success in achieving a CIH qualification will prove invaluable as they take the next steps in their careers."
