THE BACCAPIPES Folk Club have announced their summer season in Keighley.

Sally Ironmonger and Brian Carter kick off the guest spots on Friday, June 3 at the regular venue, Keighley Ukrainian Club.

Expect witty, thoughtful and fun music from this singer-songwriting duo from the south-east.

Jim Woodland, who according to the club “lives so close he could be family”, will present songs to make you think on June 17.

Zeke Deighton will present A Country Childhood In Words And Songs on July 1, and the club promises that anyone with a scuffed knee gets a free plaster.

Alan Rose and Lynda Hardcastle, for many years regular attenders and performers at the Baccapipes, promise a grand night on July 15, with an eclectic mix of material.

There will be singers nights on June 10 and 24, and July 8 and 22.

July 29 will be devoted to the Baccapipes’ first-ever quiz, then, as in previous years, the club will turn devote August Fridays to its “super summer scorching soaraway sing rounds”.
