THE TALENTS of Crossflatts children have been captured for posterity following a competition.

Crossflatts Primary School organised a photography competition for its pupils entitled Crossflatts To Me.

The school collaborated with the Dandy Art House in Saltaire to vote for the winners and have canvases made of their photographs.

School spokesman Laura Reynolds said: “We asked pupils to participate in the competition to show what our school means to them, as part of our continued celebration of our children's creativity.”

The winners were Susie Kennett in year two for 'All Of Us Together', Maggie Brough in year three for 'Learning', and Isabel Aydon-Butler and Lydia Crunden both in year five for 'Being Together'.

Mrs Reynolds said: "The winners and some other highly commended entries are now in pride of place in our school entrance.

“We were delighted with the standard of the entries and are immensely proud of our children's talents!”

In the competition, which ran last autumn, Mrs Reynolds challenged pupils to take a pictures which represented what the school meant to them.

The pictures were not allowed to be digitally altered or enhanced, and could not contain children's faces. Pupils were allowed to be as imaginative as possible.
