A KEIGHLEY home will host open days to show how energy efficiency can save householders thousands of pounds a year.

Bradford Council is hosting the sessions for homeowners, tenants and landlords at the three-bedroom stone-built end terrace at 121 Devonshire Street.

Visitors will learn how the Better Homes Bradford campaign could help them get a warmer home, and advice will be available from the Warm Homes Officer on fuels debt, switching tariffs and simple tips to reduce energy bills.

The Devonshire Street house has had internal wall and roof insulation, underfloor insulation fitted, along with a new boiler, windows and front door.

The previous cost of £3,033 per year for lighting, heating and hot water each year has been reduced to an estimated £484.

The open days are on Wednesday, from 10am to 5pm, and February 22, from 2.30pm to 6.30pm.
