KEIGHLEY councillors voted to defer a proposal that all their paperwork should only be sent to them electronically.
The recommendation had been put forward by town councillor Ian Dermondy, who argued it would save money and save time for council staff.
He estimated that switching to sending documents by e-mail could amount to a saving of £5,000 a year.
Cllr Barry Thorne said it was a very good idea, but would need further investigation to ensure costs are not simply transferred to individual councillors instead.
Cllr Dermondy said he was happy for the decision to be put back until October.
