A CAMPAIGN to encourage motorists to show consideration for horse riders and their animals is gaining momentum.

Local people taking part in the Slow Down For My Horse Campaign are preparing to have their first partially nude photographs taken for the initiative's Facebook page.

The number of "likes" for the page has jumped from 15,000 to more than 30,000 in a week.

A Worth Valley mother and daughter have enlisted in the national campaign and will be tastefully stripping off to be photographed and featured on the page.

Corrine Bower and her daughter Sammie Garnett said they want to draw attention to the extreme danger posed by some motorists speeding past horse riders and their animals.

Mrs Bower, 46, who lives in Cross Roads and keeps a horse at St Ives Equestrian Centre, warned: "There are an awful lot of roads around the Oxenhope area where drivers think they can just put their foot down.

"It's just getting so dangerous. I'm a grandmother and I really want to live to see my granddaughter grow up."
