STEETON woman Joan Barrett is the latest winner of a coveted annual accolade.
She has been presented with the 16th Mary Arnold Award, by Sight Airedale.
The award is presented annually by the Keighley-based blind association in memory of dedicated volunteer Mrs Arnold, who died in January 2000.
She had been involved with the association for almost half a century and was organiser of the Keighley Social Centre for 35 years.
"Joan is a volunteer at the social centre and is a very worthy winner of the honour," said a Sight Airedale spokesman.
She was presented with her award by Mrs Arnold's family.
Runner-up was John Brigg, of Keighley.
