POLICE are seeking a jogger who was involved in an alleged altercation with a pensioner walking her dog on the moor above Haworth.

A 67-year-old Haworth woman was with her border collie at a quarry off Dimples Lane, on Penistone Hill, when she encountered the runner.

The woman alleges she was bumped into, and following the incident was left with bruises to her face.

Police sergeant Chris Watson said the man, described as white, wearing dark jogging clothing and a baseball cap, was running towards Dimples Lane at about 11.35am on Wednesday last week.

The sergeant said: “We are keen for this man to come forward and speak to us about this incident.”

Sgt Watson said the man may have had a vehicle parked nearby.
