REPRESENTATIVES from Emmott and Bradley Funeral Directors, based at Station Road in Cross Hills, attended an indoor bowls session at Glusburn Institute to hand over a cheque for £2,000.

The money will help fund both the bowls club and the Glusburn Art Club for the coming year.

Roy Attwood, a leading member of the bowls club, said the money will be used to replace vital equipment for both clubs and to help fund the cost of hiring the institute as a venue.

The bowls club meets to play on a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon and a Thursday evening, while the art club meets on a Thursday morning.

Robert Clark, of Emmott and Bradley, said the company is pleased to be supporting the local groups and hopes to continue its support year on year.

The equipment purchased for the bowling club will also be used by Skipton & Craven Action For Disability members when they meet on a Monday afternoon.
