A GRAND Charity Evening staged by the Bronte Vintage Gathering team was a massive success.

The event, at Keighley Rugby Union Club on Saturday (Nov 15), raised £4,792.

There was live music from The Loungers Band, stalls, a quiz, raffle and auction.

All the proceeds will go to Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice, Manorlands.

Trish Wood, for the organisers, said: "It was a fantastic night.

"The atmosphere was great, all the stalls sold out and everyone was very generous with the auction and raffle.

"We were very pleased with the amount raised. It is a credit to all our lovely supporters who donate, sponsor, help and spend so generously."

The team had issued a special plea for support after the rain-hit Bronte Vintage Gathering in May suffered a loss for the first time in its history.
