AN 11-YEAR-old boy was rescued from the roof of a house in Ingrow last night.
Firefighters were called to the house in Ebony View at 8pm, after the boy had been on the roof for about two hours.
Firefighter Richard Mallinson, from Keighley Fire Station, climbed on to the roof to coax the boy down.
A Fire Service spokesman said it was unknown why the boy had been on the roof.
He said: “I think he had been stuck there for a couple of hours, so his parents called the fire brigade. It was just getting dark.
“Firefighter Mallinson reassured him. He talked him down and everyone was happy.”
