TECHNOLOGY is to be used to help older people in the Worth Valley get out and about.
Pensioners wanting to join activities in the area will be shown how to use computers to contact group leaders beforehand.
Worth Connecting is the brainchild of Positive Minds, which raises awareness of depression among over-50s, and the Welcome Project which organises local self-help and social groups.
The project aims to combat isolation and loneliness by getting more people to join interest groups.
The project will be launched tonight (September 11) at 6.30pm in the Old School Room, alongside Haworth Parish Church.
Call Alison Eagle or Midge Drive on 01535 665258 for further information.
