A CHARITY cricket match at Haworth Cricket Club on the August Bank Holiday Sunday raised £900.
Taking part were players from local villages, including former members of Stanbury Park Rangers Football Club.
The proceeds will support work to help sufferers of Motor Neurone Disease.
Steve Bainbridge, one of the organisers, said the cause was close to he and his brother Simon’s hearts because their father Kevin Perryman died from the disease in 2009.
Mr Bainbridge wanted to thank Haworth Cricket Club – which made a sizeable donation – as well as people who helped on the day or donated raffle prizes.
The cricket match is likely to become an annual event.
