AN OXENHOPE farm has applied to develop a pair of wind turbines.
The applicant wants to locate the turbines, which would be mounted on 18-metre masts, at Old Oxenhope Farm, in Old Oxenhope Lane.
The proposals are currently being considered by Bradford Council planning officers.
Responding to the application, Worth Valley ward councillor Glen Miller said: "I think wind turbines are the way of the future, though they may not please people who have their line of sight directly affected or who experience any noise pollution."
Fellow ward councillor Rebecca Poulsen said: "I understand these turbines would be smaller than those applied for previously on this site. Each of these applications needs to be assessed on its own merits, rather than having a blanket policy on wind turbines."
Oxenhope Parish Council chairman Coun Tony Maw said his own council's recommendations on proposed wind turbines were always made on a case by case basis.
