Organisers of the annual Woodfest music festival have revealed the date of this year’s event.
The open-air festival will be held for the sixth year running at Highcliffe Farm, Lees Moor, on July 25 and 26.
Proceeds of the event above Cross Roads will as usual go to the Manorlands hospice.
The future of Woodfest was in doubt after a small number of drunken festival-goers started fires, stole property and encouraged fights.
But organisers pledged that security would be beefed up this year to ensure the safety of people attending the family event.
Organisers will soon begin the search for local bands willing to play, and details of how to buy tickets are expected to be revealed next week.
